Step into Summer with Mayor Morrissey

The time for Morrissey for Mayor came on April 5^th…

The time to Step Into Summer with Mayor Morrissey is Tuesday, June 21^ST!

Please join me at Giovanni’s from 7:00-10:00 p.m. for food, refreshments, and another one of a kind Morrissey campaign event auction!

Since taking office on April 26th, my schedule has been busy to say the least! I am never too busy, however, to forget the phenomenal success of our campaign and the extraordinary enthusiasm and effort put forth by each of you. Whether you walked numerous neighborhood streets in our canvassing effort or simply voted for me on Election Day, you were a key part of our historic victory.

I am eager to express my gratitude to each and every one of you in person. My goal is to see as many of you as possible so I have asked our Finance Committee to keep the ticket price at $20 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the door the night of the event. If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate, please fill out the form below and return it along with your donation to:

As for the auction! Renowned local artist Roland Poska has gifted the artwork he displayed at the Rockford Art Museum's Screw City Exhibit to our event. Please click here to view Roland';s amazing pieces from this exhibit that highlighted Rockford's manufacturing legacy. The bidding at this auction is unique, as it will entail a bid-on-bid twist! After each item has been sold to individual bidders, the audience will be given the opportunity to outbid the individual buyers. We have already demonstrated our competitive nature during the campaign, so this approach should generate some impressive results! Furthermore, the auction proceeds will be divided twofold: partly to support ArtsPlace, a wonderful program that provides job training in the arts to local youth, and partly to help pay down our campaign debt. So please come ready to bid!

It's time to celebrate. It's time to raise money. It's time to continue our vision for One Rockford. I look forward to seeing you on the first day of summer!
